Doctors — John Moroney

I remain just as committed to providing the best possible health care in general practice as when I first joined this practice. Many changes are occurring in the NHS: a key role for me is to continue translating them into the best outcomes for as many of our patients as possible.
Building on my experience whilst training as a junior doctor, I have continued my particular interests in cardiology, dermatology and neurology. However, I remain passionate about providing up-to-date generalist care to all.
I have enjoyed developing my medical educational career (teaching both medical students and qualified doctors in various roles) and also, as Clinical Appraisal Lead, oversee the annual Appraisal scheme for York and North Yorkshire GPs through our PCT.
I am Honorary Medical Officer for York City FC and enjoy keeping fit by going to the gym, walking (especially in the Dales) and courtesy of our pet dog, Charlie.
